Beaches

Agios Ioannis. You can get here via a path that passes from the northern slope of Vardia or a tour boat from the port of Chora and Maltezana. It has pebbles and crystal clear waters.

Agios Konstantinos. A sandy at the south side of the island, with umbrellas, a few trees, and a tavern that operates during the summer months.

Vatses. A beach with shingle, deep cold waters and waves. Negrou cave is in close proximity.

Vathy. It resembles a fjord as it is closed and it has warm waters, compared to other beaches in the island. You can approach it through a rural road from Maltezana.

Livadi. One of the most organized beaches on the island with many options for dining, entertainment facilities and water sports.

Maltezana. Sandy beach with shallow waters, trees, umbrellas, sun loungers and a small pier for fishing boats. Its bottom hides ancient ruins.

Pera Gialos. This sandy beach is located near Chora and it is quite crowded. It has a small marina and taverns close to it.

Megalo & Mikro Steno. Twin beaches at the point where Mesa and Exo Nisi are joined. The first has sand, and the second is larger with a few trees and a cafeteria.

Schinontas. Sandy beach east of Maltezana which is particularly popular.
